What does the big 3 mean? Seen it mentioned in a few threads now (as I'm making my way back from reading the last 14 pages of threads in this section to learn) but dont what exactly this is?

The big 3 refers to upgrading the factory wiring. There are 3 wires.

1) Alternator to + battery terminal
2) - battery terminal to chassis ground
3) engine to chassis ground (since most alternators are grounded to the engine)

I'm surprised some fool hasn't come in here spreading more misinformation about how this will give you 3whp and "omg makje ur car run so much smoother"

This will provide reduced resistence for the alternator when it is recharging your battery/powering your electrical system.

I should do this ASAP, yesterday I was driving at night with just my parking lights on, and I could see my DRL's dimming due to my sub amp

you know your tail lights are off with just the DRLs right? Not very smart to drive without taillights.

if you go up 1 spot on the headlight switch it keeps the DRL's on and turns the tail lights on along with the turn signal lights up front.

those lights are called parking lights. Not Driving lights.

Sorry i just dont see the point in doing something so stupid just to feel like you can get away with breaking the law.

He never called them DRIVING LIGHTS. It's not illegal to drive with parking lights on. If you can see without the headlights, then why turn them on? Youre still visible to others because of your DRLs, Parking lights, and tail lights. Only use your headlights when the driver needs assistance seeing because of darkness.

I'm pretty sure non-OEM HIDs are illegal in MA.... if not every state. PNPs and Retros.

I am pretty sure that you are required to have light that can be seen 300 yards infront of the car. That I am also pretty sure is acomplished by the DRL's.
