2006 civc si stock subwoofer

Is there a way to make more boom in a 2006 civic si? Like adding a amp? or can you put a stronger sub in the same place of the stock sub?

The 06 si comes with a sub. can any same sized aftermarket sub fit in there? and will it run ok? is a amp nessesary as well?

its open air sub...

only specific subs will work "well" with the conditions we have.

i simply took mine out and put (2) 12's in the trunk

you can get a free air sub (free air subs sounds y trust me i had one before).yes you will need an external amp because 40wtts isnt going to cut it for an aftermarket sub.imo its not worth upgrading the 8" sub because the difference isnt going to be all that great.
