SI + 7" 40gig Media Player + iPhone = Ultimate!
Got my SI just over a week ago, but Ive been doing my best to work on the functionality and integration of the electronics. So far, I have taken an iPod Gooseneck mount that fortunately also works for my iPhone, using a line-out at the very bottom of the gooseneck (right by the AUX in for the car) and put it right next to my Nav. This is awesome because with the use of a bluetooth earpiece, it will interrupt the music to answer the call, and as soon as someone hangs up, right back to the music. This mount is called TuneFlex, and it will work with any ipod if youre interested. Itll run you about 25 bucks.
Ive also mounted a nice little 7" personal media player (coby pmp-7040) that can hold up to 40 gigs of music, almost any kind of video file, and pictures right in that little space in front of the shifter. The price of the media player was about 175, you might be able to find it cheaper though. I took what was meant to be an SAT radio mount, and bent/twisted/glued it all together. But that was the easy part, it had a suction cup on the other end, so I had to glue a piece of 3x3 glass to the underside of the console, because it is a VERY unforgiving suction cup. this was about 24 bucks from bestbuy. To tie it together, I got a headphone splitter into the AUX input jack so both the iPhone line out and the media player can live there without having to be unplugged so I can use the other. Let me know if you have any questions about it, Im still working on it to make it cleaner and more fitting for the space, but if you want help, ill make a little DIY if needed. ![]() ![]()

I just finished mine up w/a pioneer deh-p690ub, a 40 gig harddrive, and aux input with my iphone hooked up. Didn't really want to throw in a screen since the majority of a/v headunits have pretty crappy audio functions, I'd rather have good sound than a screen. Install looks good! Bump for us n3rds!

Yeah the mount is the best for the iPhone, and it takes the line-out instead of the headphone jack so you get the best sound. thanks for the comments.
