i have heard very good things about them from people who have them. I have also been told that they are for jazz type music, and they cut out with low lows. I never heard them cut out before, and they sounded pretty good.

I had an L port box with a jbl 1200.1
Never had any problem with them cutting out.

i also had a type r in my old car. i had a 12". If you are looking for one that is going to hit the bass a little quicker go for 2-10". I had 1-12" and it was loud as sh*t. I didnt even have a powerful enough amp to put the sub to it max....and it still sounded awsome.
