where to tap

so im fianlly instaling my hu and subs from my old eclipse into my si. the only thing that i am unsure of is where to tap for a remote on for the amp. any suggestions?

so i should run the remote turn on all the way to the head unit and it shouldnt be next to the power wire rite?

no, you should run it to the radio. thats why the HU comes with a remote wire. just extend it out to your amp on the opposite side of the car from your main power wire and also not next to your audio cables. you have to run RCAs to the radio, so whats one more wire?

cool man thanks for the info..and i ahve one more question..is it cool to run the power wire in the engine bay near the fuses and ecu? PIC-0038.jpg

That's fine.

You can tap in to the fusebox as well for your REM.

there is a way easier way. you can tap it to your antenna. it's right behind the rear passenger seat, the cusion that doesn't folds down. you'll see 2 black wires running up and down (forgot which one) but just tap either one and see which one works.

i have a 2dr si..there is no cushion that doesnt fold..its jus the panel

What's all this about running the amp trigger wire on the opposite side of the car from the power wires?!?!? Keep your power away from any AUDIO cables.. no need to keep power away from power!
