iPhone owners

Has anyone with an iPhone had problems with a standard aux plug fitting? I know that the iPhone jack doesn't leave alot of room for a fat plug and barely has room for the standard headphones. Also, anyone have suggestions for a mount?

If you're trying to use your iPhone with the AUX jack in your car, you need to use the Audio Out plug in the dock the phone came with and a male to male 3.5mm cable. Worked for me until I got a deck that allows direct connection to iPods.

Well, when I was using the dock that came with the phone, I just ran the wire from AUX to the dock, and placed it in the little pocket thing in front of the cup holders so I could still access the phone easily.

I don't have any pics of my actual setup with me right now, but I have the following components installed:
Alpine IVA-W205 In Dash DVD Player
Alpine Blackbird II PMB-B200 GPS used in w205 dock
Alpine PXA-H701 Processor
Focal Polyglass 165V2 Separates
JL 10w6v2 Subwoofer
JL A6450 Six Channel Amplifier
JL A1400 Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier
Custom Box, Amp Rack & Trim - Flush mount false floor

Won first place in MECA SQL competition this past summer too

I was lucky... I had an auxiliary cable with a small connector. Apple sells a converter, but I'm sure it's overpriced. If you do not use your iPhone's dock, you can do something like this:

Custom Pod (2006 Civic) D.I.Y

For results, go here: http://mecacaraudio.com/eventresults.aspx?eventid=557 and click the SQL Results tab.

We built and tuned the system pretty much in 2 days. I was very surprised I not only won my class, but had the most points out of all challengers.

Lottta driving though

I use the TuneFlex. Its a gooseneck deal for the ipod, but works perfectly with my iphone. it has a line out right on the cig lighter so you dont have wires all over the place. all you have to do is drop the phone in the cradle, and enjoy

I have the ipod touch, but I just use the 3-in-1 mount, charger, and fm transmitter. It even comes with a little remote. I'll take a picture... maybe later.... it's too cold outside...

Props to you!!! Focal in the mids FTW!! JL in the subs FTW!! My 98 civic had 2 Zapco amps, 1 Soundstream Amp for subs, Zapco EQ, 2 JL 15's, 165Kp2 Focal 6.5s and Tweets, and Alpine Head Unit. It sounded so good, but I sold the car, and now since I have an 07.....it would take too much effort to make it sound like my 98. I'm sure yours sounds good too!!

I stood in front of a wall of midrange speakers from Focal, JL, Polk and many others, and the 165v2's sounded better than some speakers that were twice the price.

Yea, it sounds pretty nuts in terms of staging, imaging, and sheer quality. And heck, that JL bumps pretty damn hard too when I'm not listening to quality music and just want to make noise
