I ruled that one out when buying one as a present a week ago for a few reasons. It has a very low POI database (something like 700 thousand). Since I live in minnesota, I'm gonna assume we have a lot less than a place like cali or ny would have.. and POI's are important to me because it's nice to be able to find the nearest gas station when you're running low.
I also had one freeze on me when I was demoing it and read that this was a small problem. It was also kind of slow at computing simple things like a touch on the screen. I also read route calculations and re-calculations were slow as well. Simply put, there is better to be had out there, and Garmin is definitely one of them. |

I just got a tomtom from staples earlier today. Its nice. Very simple to use. The one i wanted, navigon 2100 they sold out of so i got the tomtom for $125 + a $20 gift car.
I know the tomtom is in the millions in the POI but dont know the exact #. It had no problems findin me a burger king for breakfast . It even has airports listed in Canada (no roads tho)Only con so far is that its silver and not black. |

So where did you mount yours? I just stuck the sticky pad to the left of the eject button and mounted it there. Then went to move it and the sticky bad broke
gonna have to get another one. The window mount is way too short for our starship enterprise windshield IMO. |
