Factory Alarm Upgrade Pics

Here's some pics of my factory alarm upgrade. I used the Hornet 727 Factory Upgrade Alarm. This unit allows me to use the Honda factory remotes to 'arm' and 'disarm' the system. PLUS I get to put the LED's in a better location than the factory location on the dash! None of my friends thought this car had an alarm, since they NEVER noticed the LED in the dash!! Thanks Honda!!!

Door panel removed, LED already mounted in door panel.

Much better location, easily visible! I have this on both doors.

can you tell me where you got this kit, I've never heard of it.

Another thing, what exactly does the factory alarm do??? my window sticker says my car has an alarm (06ex sedan), however I can't seem to find any specs on what it will do, and I certainly haven't found a way to set it off (I've tried).

How do you like the alarm? I'm thinking about upgrading my car with the same system. Any problems?

Thanks!

You can set off your alarm by locking and arming the car with you inside and push the unlock button on the driver or passenger side panel.

try locking it while you're inside, and just opening the door without unlocking it.

gf and i were um...."getting aquianted" in a non-descript location, and tried to jump out to get into the backseat....

damn it was anoyyingly loud.

Or, just arm it while inside and try to start the car. That did it for me once....again, similar situation like above....lol

to set the alarm, press the lock button on the key, then wait till the led stops blinking rapidly and then the system is armed, try opening either trunk, door, or hood and/or unlocking either passenger or drivers door..

BTW, did you use the aux output??? You should be able to connect that to a module that lowers/raises the windows and/or remotestart..

I was just wondering how do you like the alarm? Any problems with it so far? Any false alarms? I am planning on purchasing a Viper 330v next week. They are essentially the same units but with different branding.

Thanks

I thought one click to lock the car, double click to arm the car. The alarm car sound very wimpy, which is the car horn

I just upgrade my car alarm at Car Toys. It arms the Honda alarm and the addition alarm system. Now I have two horn blowing away.

The addition is: Shock Sensor and Starter Disable, 6 Tone Multi-tone Mini Siren, Parking Light Flasher on Board, etc.....

Warning: It only slow down the thief. I just hope I'm fast enough as Braveheart wneddanc

I tried this same alarm, with no luck, even sent it back and tried a new one, no luck again, the false alarms just kill you, it went off after I locked it on a completely random basis. I checked all my wiring jobs with my voltmeter with no luck...

at least on the 7thgen is the car is locked and the trunk is open if you close the trunk it will make a lot of noise, or if the car is armed and you put the key in the trunk it will go off too, maybe you dont really have the alarm, just the unlock/lock door feature
