2007 Civic EX Radio Problem

Has anyone had a problem with AM reception on their EX? I purchased the Civic about a month ago and the radio worked fine when I picked it up. But now weak stations on AM radio have interference that blocks the station. I did turn the engine off ( I wasn't moving ) and the interference is gone. Any suggestions? The Honda dealer is lost!

whoa, thats weird. Sorry for a crappy response, but I don't think I have ever used the radio before, haha.

Check the ground wires throughout the engine bay...got a feeling something slipped off somewhere. Probably not a major one since you aren't experiencing any "mechanical" trouble but if it isn't grounded somewhere it could interfere with your signal. By the way, the AM radio actually works in the Civic? I thought the letters were put there because they've always been there on every radio.

I learn something new about this car everyday.....

If my headlights are on it kills AM reception.
