remote start Q's
I want to get a remote start system installed on my car, i have a 2006 civic LX.
i was looking at the viper 160xv i noticed that it has an extra button for any other convinence.. i was wondering if i could get a trunk popper and combine it with that remote, is that possible? what trunk poppers do you guys reccomend? also where can i get the clutch bypass thing so that remote start will work in manual cars?

Yes, you can add a trunk pop to the remote. All you actually need is a relay wired to the trunk release wire. It's not that hard to do, or you can get whoever installed your alarm to do it. The remote start part can be done also, but most places won't do it. A lot of people find it to be a liability issue, i.e. you park the car in gear in a parking lot and lets say some kids are running between the cars. you forget it's in gear, go to remote start the car and it jumps and pins the kid in between 2 cars. It's probably not something that will happen, but it could! There is one company out there (i think it's called Compucar or compustar) that has a remote start for manuals, but in order to make it work, you have to do a sequence of events every time u plan on remote starting your car. I don't know if that would be worth it to you.
