i got the d3 and i love it. sound quality is incredible. my only problem is that there is no screen saver or visualizer. but i love everything else about it. i dont have anything like ps2 hooked up or anything. i have the ipod, and blue tooth hooked up now. im working on getting steering wheel controls mounted. you can go to circuit city and pick one up and installed for about a grand.

yea i hate the fact that i cant control the sound with my steering wheel... at the beginning i would always find myself pushing on it and nothing would happen.

If it has A/V inputs then you can easily add a ps2 to it.

I put a super nintendo on my Alpine deck a while back. The novelty wore off and I took it back out, but it was pretty cool to have Super Mario Brothers showing on my h/u. lol

Hey guys, PAC makes a steering wheel control adapter for Pioneer radios that will retain your OEM steering wheel controls. Oh, and I'm pretty sure you can change the background on the D3. Adding a gaming system is a piece of cake as well. You can also add XM and Sirius at the same time, XM NavTraffic, iPod, a second A/V source, a cd or dvd changer, send video to an outboard screen and I THINK that's it. I'll have to look at the home screen again.

I almost forgot, and this is HUGE, you can watch movies and podcasts from your iPod on the D3 as well as DVDs.

drag them from your library over to your iPod like everything else you put on your iPod. you have to subscribe to a podcast to have your iTunes download them for you. for movies you have to rip them to your hard drive and then use iTunes to add them o your iTunes library. it's exactly the same as music.

I have a playstation 2 and I'd like to hook it up if this question below can be answered.

My Pioneer AVH-4000 has video inputs of course but I was wondering how could I wire my audio rca's to the back of my head unit?

I have the d3 and made my own backgrounds. Put bluetooth too. Installing a ps3/ps2 is pretty easy but the screen is not big enough to enjoy the gaming experience.

you plug them into the audio input. theres nothing special about it.
it has:
audio input (L+R)
video input
video output
2 audio outputs (front & rear/non-fading(subwoofer))

just hook the ps2 up to the video in and the audio in.

hmm..I checked the back of my unit it doesn't have that audio input. I just see my preamp outputs for the front and rear/subwoofer?? If anything I'll check back here and ask for more help. I think I'm asking in the wrong forum since I have the AVH-4000 LOL.
