Help, Amp wire from stock deck

Can anyone help ? I have a 2006 Civic Ex (no Navi) Sedan, i'm trying to hook up an amp and need the "turn on" wire from the factory deck, I've seen the thread on the installation of the after market deck, and the 'wire guide' but, it says factory amp turn on is lt blue, well, when i use my meter to test the wire, i get nothing , with radio on, off .... i'm wondering if it's different for the sedans vs coupes ..... any ideas ??

Oh. You have a sedan. You don't have a factory amp. So, you probably don't have any power going to that wire??? Try the white or purple wire. Those are the 12v power and ignition wires, respectively.

I went with the purple wire, it's hot when acc is on, and Cam , you're right, there is no factory amp wire going to slot 15, where is says it is for the coupes. SO, i'll just have to deal with the amp being on even if the radio is not. .......Thanks everyone

bumping this thread.
i need to install the d3 by tomorrow the latest. I get no sound at all from the d3.
Are the speakers on all the time or is there a wire that turns them on?
I know the coupe and premium sedans have a factory amp wire which you tap the acc wire into that amp wire to get the speakers to work. However, I got no sound at all...

You might need to post more about your install. You say you are not getting any sound from your D3, but also say you are installing it tomorrow. ??

A bit lost....

Well, some people will follow the DIY on here about the D3 installation and get Frustrated because of the no sound and trying their hardest to find the amp wire. Probably disassamble everything and taking the car apart to find that amp wire to get the speakers to work and later find out there is no amp wire to connect to!! However, when putting RCAs from the factory speakers and getting them to work with a HU, the power from the stock harness(with no amp) will not be sufficient to turn on the RCA connectors thus you will have no sound. So, by reading the manual and testing with a multimeter for a 12v constant when the radio is on, I found out you just have to connect the wires from the power cord(aftermarket unit power plug) directly to the oem plug. In other words, whenever you're installing an aftermarket HU or aftermarket navigation unit and you have no amp from the factory, you wil have to look at the power plug and find the following wires since they are universal:
(Aside from the red, yellow, orange/white and black) you will see 8 more wires:
1- white - positive front
2. white/black - negative front
3. Gray - positive front
4. Grey/black - negative front
5. Green - positive rear
6. Green/black - negative rear
7. violet - positive rear
8. violet/black - negative rear.

If you have an aftermarket subwoofer already installed professionaly, you have to know which one is positive and which is negative. You will have two from each(at 2 ohms each subwoofer). Combine the two positive and connect the two wires(usually green or red) to the violet wire from the power plug on the aftermarket HU. Then, connect the negative wires of the subwoofer(combine them) to the violet/black wire on the power plug(if using a pioneer HU, #7 and #8 are the violet and violet/black wires). If you hook them up to the green and green/black(#5 and #6), you will blow a fuse or short something out.

Every aftermarket Unit uses RCA connectors and that is used if you have an amplifier from the factory. If you connect RCA directly to the speakers with no amp, there will not be enough power to drive the speakers.

Many cars come with an amplifier but there are others without an amplifier from the factory. That's why you do not use those RCA connectors but use the power plug to connect to the speakers directly(follow instructions from your manual to know which wires you need to use)
