Please help analyze radio reception problem

Bought my 2007 EX Sedan in February. Had the windows tinted at DC Auto (HIGHLY recommended here in Vegas) that week.

When I listened to the radio, I had no problems receiving a strong signal on all stations, it's just that the quallity of the sound sucked.

I had all new JL Audio (superb online reviews) speakers, sub, and amps installed by Chronic Audio here in Vegas (excellent price and a fantastic installation).

They also installed sound dampening on all four doors plus the underside (inside the trunk) of the rear deck where the holes are. CDs sound fantastic, but I can't get good quality radio reception.

I searched these forums and learned for the first time that having a metallic window tinting on the back window, where my antenna is, sometimes interferes with radio reception. Called DC Auto and they replaced that film with a non-metallic film, no questions asked and no additional charge.

As I drove out of their parking lot, I could tell that my radio reception problem was not fixed.

Stations come in and out, like something isn't connected correctly, blocked, pinched, or whatever is causing the radio to not receive a strong signal.

Went back to Chronic Audio and they checked the radio and everything was connected correctly.

So now what can I do? COULD there be a problem with that Dynamat-like stuff that is on the underside of the rear deck?

Can anyone tell me how the antenna in the back window is connected to the radio in the dash?? I'm thinking MAYBE a connecting wire was pinched or whatever.

Guys and gals, this is driving me &^%^%$$# crazy. When the signal is strong, I LOVE the sound in my car. But I just can't drive around with lousy radio reception like this.

Any and all help and suggestions will be greatly apprecieted.

Mike
