Question d3 bypass??

hey im sorry if this is a repost but ive searched up and down on how to bypass the hand brake to view dvd's and operate my navigation while the car is in motion. i have seen how to bypass the stock amp but i cant find one on the hand brake. ive heard to just put a simple switch on the wire to the hand brake but i dont know how well that would work. any help would be appreciated.

The navigation is operable while you are driving.

Watching DVD's while driving is illegal - don't kill someone so you can watch Season 1 of Queer As Folk.

My girl watches The OC so there is no chance of me watching dvd's while driving.

That's even worse. I'd rather wreck the car into oncoming traffic.
