The mounting sleeve on the AVIC's are garbage. You should always ISO mount if you can. Keeps the tension off of the dash with the added weight from the unit.
You have to trim just a little bit around the lip of the dash kit - nothing a little bit of Dremel experience can't handle. |

i've already got the OEM dash on order...will actually be here before my car. will I still need to trim the factory trim or just the cheap scoche one? I never thought about the weight issue before but that is a good point. Thanks. I can't wait until m car gets here.
