ISO mount or can mount?

I'm curious...when installing a double din unit such as the D3 is it ISO mount or do you use the mounting sleeve to secure it to the dash?

The D3 does not come with a mounting sleeve so that's out of the question. You will need the side (Left and Right) brackets from Honda or purchase the painted dash kit that has them included from a retailer. It's ISO mounted.

The mounting sleeve on the AVIC's are garbage. You should always ISO mount if you can. Keeps the tension off of the dash with the added weight from the unit.

You have to trim just a little bit around the lip of the dash kit - nothing a little bit of Dremel experience can't handle.

i've already got the OEM dash on order...will actually be here before my car. will I still need to trim the factory trim or just the cheap scoche one? I never thought about the weight issue before but that is a good point. Thanks. I can't wait until m car gets here.
