Upgrading audio system in a LX Coupe

Hey, hows it goin eveyone?

First question is, does anyone know how much RMS the battery and alt can take before having to upgrade those components? Cuz, what I want to do is either run a Audiobahn A16000V Amp with Immortal 10" or Audiobahn 8000V with Eternal 10".
Secondly, for the speakers in the back, can I use the existing wiring or will I have to run aftermarket?

thnx, Lawrence

I ran 800w in my 1986 Toyota Camry with a stock alt and cheap batteries. I never had a problem concerning my electrical system. I suppose if your lights start dimming with every bass hit, you probably have a problem.

The rear stock speakers are fine with whatever it originally came wired with.

Why not just buy a capacitor and not worry as much about your battery and alt.?I ran something like 2000 watts RMS in my old car and never had a problem with diming lights and whatnot..I did have a half farad capacitor though.I would think that you could use the factory wiring unless you are pushing alot more power through them then you could get a larger gauge.

ya, I kinda figured it may work with factory wiring, but the thing that baffes me is that the stock speakers are plug ins...so can I just cut the plug and re-wire it?? Also, reason why I worry bout the battery part is that the battery looks a lil small compared to traditional batterys.

Thanks Lawrence

dude don't get audiobahn.. if your spending that kind of money on crap than u might as well spend the same amount on some quality stuff

whats your budget?

btw don't run past 1000rms watts off your stock alt

Audiobahn wont do the rated power anyway

well...to start I have an Ultimate T3-1000D amp that the company rates it at 1200RMS at 2 Ohn or 1000RMS at 4 ohm, but supposedly its underated to be 2600 RMS at 2 Ohm, and 1800RMS at 4 Ohm...my budget is around 400-450 with S&H. Ya, a buddy of mine is running an Audiobahn AW1006T and it sounds pretty good, but it was a Hatchback though...
Also, should rears give better sound cuz after I stuck an aftermarket HU, a lot of the sounds from the back.

Alt. is 90 amps. It can probably handle anything from 800 watts and down.

^^ Yeah I'm running my type R 10" at 450rms and components at 200rms x 2
both amps are underated so i am guessing between 850-1100rms

the voltage drop is VERY minor it usually goes from 14.2 or 13.8 to 13.6

All on stock alt and optima D34 deep cycle battery
