Thanks, that what I did (putting a numeric digit at the beginning of each track, so as to put them in proper album sequence).
Not sure why the system is designed this way, but wreaks havoc with any album that is built around the progression of the tracks. |

So the dealextreme one works with SD cards? How about 4GB SDHC cards format in FAT32. Will that work?
I'm on the fence in getting either CF adapter: or 5-in-1 adapter: Thanks guys. |

From what I'm seeing, SDHC cards just won't work then? How about 4GB memory stick duo? I'm thinking of going with 4GB CF then. |

To those who have used a PC card for an extended length of time, Do you just leave it in your navi system or do you have to take it with you after the drive? I was reading the owner's manual and I think it said that you shouldn't leave the PC card in the navi system if you aren't driving, I'm guessing due to heat and what not. It just seems like a drag to have to take it out and bring it with me wherever I go and I was wondering if anyone just leaves it in their car 24/7? Or would it just totally fry...? Most likely, It'll totally fry, but just asking.
btw, I live in socal and it can get pretty brutal out in the summer and whatnot... and Also, would it help to just take it out and leave it in the glove compartment then? I don't know how much that would help though, seems like it'll still get pretty hot. But yeah, my lazy side would just love it if I could just leave it in the navi system. =) Last edited by WarMachine; 06-20-2010 at 07:57 PM. |

What am I missing??!
Man this PC card deal is driving me nuts like a lot I have read here!
I bought the sandisk 6-in-1 PC Card Adapter (SDAD-67) as it was listed as a known working reader here. I am using SD cards in it. I have tried a Sandisk 2GB card as well as a canon 32MB SD card and keep getting 'media error'. Since then I have read some peoples' posts saying the SD 6n1 does not work, some say it works but at a limit of 1GB. I have also read soo many different things you 'need to do' so I will ask about all of them. My questions, and please help with as many of them as you can PLEASE! 1) Does this adapter really work even if it is only at 1GB? 2) Do the files have to be in folders? 3) Do you have to copy the files to the SD card while it is in the Adapter or can you use a SD slot to copy files to SD card and then put it in the Adapter to plug into the NAV system? I had copied the files to the SD card, put the card in the adapter and plugged it into a laptop PC card slot and could read the files on it. Any other known 'gotchas' for getting media errors? I have also heard conflicting posts about MP3 file properties that need to be correct like bit rate, etc. Any info on what is known to work? Does that apply to WMV files as well. Sorry for so many questions, just very frustrated and would LOVE for this to work instead of using the crappy AUX port with a $20 MP3 player. My wife has a new CRV with USB slot and it just works! Thanks in advance for ANY help! P$ Oh, and allow me ![]() ![]()

I will now try setting up folders and other junk. At least it works!! God bless you CivicSI2008!! And take the DAMN SANDISK 6-IN-1 OFF THE SUPPORTED LIST!! If it is working for you then you are a freak of nature (or Sandisk changed their model ever so slightly to break it for the Honda!). |

SanDisk SDAD-67 w/PNY Optima 8GB SDHC
Sandisk 6-in-1, model #SDAD-67 with PNY "Optima" SDHC 8GB card SD-K08G.
Formatted FAT32, filled to about 6.67GB of files but reached the 999 track limit. Didn't seem to work at first, but after a long folder "learn" time after I first inserted the adapter, everything works great! This is on a 2011 with software version 2.01.01 |

I'm using the SanDisk 6-in-1 PC Card Adapter (SDAD-67) with a SanDisk Micro SDHC 4GB w/ a regular SD adapter and works fine.
Didn't need to format in a particular way, since it was already in FAT32 format. Everything just worked right out of box. The loading time was faster than the MP3 CD and tracks changed as soon as I pressed the skip button. Very happy with the outcome! Thought I'd share this info...
