ipod questions

Before anyone bashes me for the topic, yes I did search and I did not find a definitive answer on this question:
If I were to buy an Ipod (Nano to be exact), can I just plug it into the AUX port on my '07 lx sedan and play the songs through the factory HU? I looked in the manual, but I didn't find anything about the ipod or aux adapter.
From reading the other threads, I can't control my ipod through the factory hu, but could I control which songs to be played through the ipod?
Thanks for the feedback...

Yup, plug it into the AUX port and control on the Ipod.

There is a new Honda/Ipod cable that is replacing the old crappy one but Im sure it will be pricy.

Thanks for the reply Nomar06...just wanted to make sure I could use the ipod to hold my music. I am tired of dealing with cd's...I have read where they are coming out with a new cable, but before I paid that, i would just replace the stock HU with something that would interface with the ipod..

You know... you guys can just go to Radio Shack or Target and buy a $6 cable to run through the aux import (not sure if all models come with it). Saves you money and time.

Yea, so pluggin in a 3.5mm male-to-male audio jack will let you use your iPod with the HU. You will not be able to control the iPod from your HU, but you must do so from the iPod itself.

With the older version of the cable, you should be able to adjust everythign from the controls. However, I heard it sucks... alot. Hopefully the new version works better... maybe I'd consider gettin it then...
