Playing movies in format of Navi

I briefly went through the navi disc. The files are in I think .dss or .dds. What if we converted the dvd(vob) files into the .dds files. Maybe we can watch it on our navi.

Give it a shot. 99.9% sure it won't work. Let us know the outcome.

Are you talking about renaming a DVD video file to the same extension as the navi database software on the disk?

If this is it then it's not going to work, don't waste a cd. The navi unit isn't going to know what the hell to do with it, there is nothing in there that tells it how to work with decoding video.

The .dds file format is an image file. Even if you could convert your DVDs into the .dds format, the navi wouldn't know what to do with it. Plus, you'd have no sound. But, like I said before, give it a shot and let us know.

As for playing the file, maybe we can program it to play based on a certain address input.
