escort passport 9500i

Just got this yesterday. its friggin sweet. i had a 8500 before that one was great bt this one is way better. got the gps location so so everytime you drive by that bank or business it goes off you can set it so it blocks it out and has auto volume to detect volume in the car. louder in car the louder it gets, the quieter the lower the volume is. also if you know where speed traps usually are in your towns you can set that into the memory and it will notify you 1/2 mile ahead of time if traveling less than 50mph, and up to 1 mile ahead of time if going over 50mph. the detector can also detect how fast you are going. escort has a great video on thier website that describes everything. i definitly reccomend this radar and laser detector.

so all thumbs up to all around town

Yeah definately want to get that bad boy... when the price is right. I currently have the 8500 and it'll hold me until then. Congrats on the purchase.

How do they protect you against laser though?

9500i

laser is harder to detect bt this one can detect it by laser detection with quantum limited video reciever and multiple laser sensor diodes. runs on 904nm and 33mhz bandwidths.
