Head unit Install in LX - please help!

Hi guys,

I am about to install a Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD in my 2010 Civic LX.

It is a 5.8" screen and I was wondering what parts I would need and where I could get them from to convert my stock radio panel to accommodate this much bigger screen/unit.

Here is a picture of my current radio and a picture of the head unit I want to install.

Thanks in advance!

Scosche dash kits are great and can be found on Sonicelectronics and also you can get a kit from Honda as well... This will convert your dash to accommodate your new HU...

I went with the Scosche dash kit. The fitment was fine but the color isn't an exact match. I would go with the Honda one of I had to do it again to get the exact color match though I'm not sure if it's more expensive or not.

In addition to the dash kit you will also need a Honda civic wiring harness and tools to take the dash apart. Also when I first installed my head unit I couldn't get the DVD player to work unless I bypassed the ebrake. I had to take everything apart again but now I can play video without the ebrake on.

You can get most of the stuff from crutchfield.com they have tons of stuff to help with the install. I soldered my wires together because I had a bad experience with the stupid caps always falling off. Got a soldering iron from RadioShack real cheap.
