Hill-Start Assist Control? Haha, I don't know.

"HAC is the accessories division of Honda. Honda Accessories Corporation, I think. The fuse is probably for the trailer hitch wiring harness, as I think it is the only electrical accessory." -From a member in the Hond Ridgeline forums.

Googling didn't help me figure out what HAC is, and I'm sure you don't need it, and are fine without it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a basic LED "scanner" strip. Has a red, black, and yellow wire.
Here are the its directions:
"If you have a car alarm:
A1. Connect the red wire of the LED scanner to 12 volts constant positive.
A2. Connect the black wire from the LED scanner to the negative when armed wire of the car alarm
A3. Connect the yellow wire to 12 volts constant positive.
OR
If you do not have a car alarm:
B1. . Connect the red wire of the LED scanner to 12 volts constant positive.
B2. Connect the black wire from the LED scanner to constant negative
B3. Connect the yellow wire to the ignition wire that shows 12 volts when the key is turned to the ON position.
You're done. If you installed it with car alarm using step 1 above, then whenever you arm the alarm, the LED scanner will activate.
If you installed it without a car alarm using step 2 above, then the LED scanner will activate when your car is parked and the key is in the off position."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Whether I use Method 1 or Method 2, I don't care. I don't even know which method I'd use because I don't know if my keyless entry on my 2009 EX qualifies as an "alarm".

With this information in mind, plus what you know from Civic-specific fuse knowledge, can you guys tell me exactly what to do, and which fuse/wiring locations to use?

I've gone nuts going through countless DIYs and Googling, but cannot figure this one out.
Thanks

anyone has an answer for this?! i also have the same problem so please, anyone answer this, thanks!!!!

I'll get back to you on this. I ended up pulling a couple fuses out, wrapping the LED scanner wires around the fuse prongs, then reinserting the fuses.
With the LED's 3rd wire, I just wrapped it around the bolt on the right-hand side of the interior fusebox, and secured the bolt like normal. I guess that was my "ground" connection.

I did everything on the book. I connected the led red wire to #8 fuse (open fuse), blue wire to #35 (radio) and tried other fuses, and the black wire to the ground. I also connected the led red wire to the white wire (12v positive), blue led wire to the blue wire (ignition) and orange wire (car alarm armed). I did everything but none of them works. I am going nuts about this..anyone who can assist me with this one please? i also need the exact location of the wires because i am not sure if i am doing the right thing..PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!THANK YOU!!!

How about this:

Red wire to #35.
Blue wire to #8 Open Fuse.
Black wire to ground?

Thumbs up rear driving lights were off

Thanks for posting this. I was able to locate the fuse and fix it. I wondered why everyone was honking at me last night... no rear lights.

My horn stopped working. After diagnosing, service center replaced the inside fuse box. And it started working.

Now I realized that my reverse light stopped working with the new fuse box. What can be wrong ?

BTW, mine is 2006 Civic-AT RHD, India.

I can post pic of the fuse box which I clicked in the workshop.

Sounds more like a connector is loose from the switches.

Do those 2 buttons light up at night when the lights are on ??(same connector has illumination)
