Cost For Key Replacement
Long story short, my key w/ remote was run over multiple times by passing traffic and was crushed.
I called my local Honda dealership, the man on the phone told me that it would be 130 bucks out the door for a new key w/remote, cut and programing for my car. This sound about right? I honestly was expecting more, so to me it seems decent. |

I thought it was moer too.....Did you get his name..If so you should specifically ask to talk to him and remind him that you called in earlier....He should be able to hook you up for the price he said.

Not any big locksmith. They have to have the right equipement to laser cut our Honda keys and from what I've seen, not all of them have the ones that can cut Honda's keys, ...actually none of the ones I've searched.

Very few places outside of honda dealers have the equipment to cut a new sidewinder style key. Unfortunately right now, the only way to program the key to start the car is through HDS which is also only at dealers, unless someone has a lot of money to burn on getting their own HDS.
130 for the key cut and program is a pretty good deal, some people have been told as much as 300 at some places |

^ I agree, but around 130 bucks has to be the set price, because I called multiple dealerships and they all told me a price between 130 to 135, and I made sure that was for the key, cut, and programing.

get one of those fancy VW style Honda keys off ebay, for like $40, and have your dealer cut/program it.
Easy.

I was washing my car, left my keys on the trunk of another car in the driveway (like a dumbass) and that person end up leaving after I went inside for a little and they fell off his trunk when he pulled out onto the road.
