Finally installed, sorta

Well yesterday my friend and I undertook the install of my system.
We got everything torn apart pretty quick.
First thing we did was to sound deaden the front doors (my job), I did the outter skin as well as the metal inner frame. Looked great. George took the job of the trunk and it looked great as well... This step took us a bit longer than I anticipated, I had never used peel-n-stick deadener before but it turned out well.
Next we mounted my Focal 165v2's into the doors. The basket was a little wide to go through the factory holes but with a few extra layers of deadener they fit perfect. The tweeters were something that I had posted about a few times on here and I decided to do something that no one (to my knowledge) has done to date. While I had the door panel off I cut the center round section out of the door panels and flush mounted the tweeters into the panels. They look flawless and almost factory with how they turned out, just the Focal name in red on the tweeter dome.
However it did not all go this smooth, I installed my Planet Audio deck but for some reason it would not power on. When I turned the key it would just flicker on for .5 sec then stay off... Bumb'd out I installed an old Pioneer deck that works but I am unable to adjust any features, such as turning on my sub... so after all this I was not able to test my sub/amp with the focals.
All in all it went well, a long day of work for us. I just have to get this deck issue sorted out then I can get some bass back.

Are you 100% sure the PA HU works? Have you taken the ignition and 12volt wires to the battery positive and ground to battery negative to see if it will atleast turn on? (wires straight to posts only for a couple seconds)

I actually did one better and took it to a PA dealer. He tested it can said it worked, showed me too which really made me feel like an ass...

I got home tonight and took the dash apart again and I reinstalled it and it worked :s go figure. I guess after 12hrs of install I just messed it up some how.

Regardless its all done and working, sub too.

I dont have pics yet as I don't have my amp rack made so its still very messy. This weekend I will be making my rack and adding some lighting, LED's and such and I will certainly post pics then :)
I may even pull the doors off to show the deadener, but I will for sure get some pics of the tweeter location for you guys as I find it sounds great and is very accessable.
