Si radio power w/o oem amp

Is the si radio, without the amp more, powerful then the lx radio? Does the radio alone rated at the 350 watts or is that with the amp? I'm curious cuz I'm wanting to put the si radio in my lx, get better aftermarket speakers, and add a sub.

well ignoring all that other stuff since it doesnt matter in this case. . . you CAN NOT just put an Si headunit into any other model except an EX Coupe, because you need all the amps and the different in-dash harnesses associated with it, the Premium headunits (EX Coupes and Si) are used to send low level balanced input to their associated amplifier, as opposed to EX sedans and LX models which send high voltage outs straight to the spakers through its internal amplifier

youll be better off replacing it with aftermarket, that is if you feel like swapping

and this topic has been brought up time and again, try the search feature, it saves everybody some time

Yeah sorry. Thanks for your reply. I found some threads but not exactly what I was looking for. I think I will probably just stick with the lx radio and hook up the amp.

yeah, that would be your best bet, youll need either an LOC or a full on OE integration processor, the LOC is considerably cheaper if you just want the amp to work
