Can you turn off the Seatbelt warning beep?

I've got an 06 LX Sedan. Love the car, BTW. I hate the seatbelt warning beeper. Now before anyone goes about telling me "Just wear your seatbelt" blah blah, here's the thing. My parents live about 1/4 of a mile from me and the road is a rarely traveled country road that you don't get above 20mph between my house and his. So I never wear my seatbelt on my way over there, otherwise I always wear it. But on the way to their house it beeps twice (that's how close they live, it only beeps twice) and it drives me crazy. So, can you turn it off?

Yeah, tried that. $59 each from Honda 'cause you have to buy the entire belt assembly. And that's the rear...same as the front but cheaper.

Salvage yards don't even have them. And to make it even more fun, all buckles from previous years don't fit either. Thanks Honda...

Can we get a sticky on this topic, or merge the "Can I turn off my seatbelt chime" threads and then sticky? Perhaps this will avoid the one new thread per week on this same topic, over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over...

Agreed. Done.

Where did the DIY seatbelt chime/beep removal go?
