yes there are remote starts made just for manual transmission. i have had my remote starter in my csx for about 15 months with no problems. its a autostart as-2579 tw 2-way remote starter. the only down fall is there are ussally a few thing you have to do before exiting the car ( have it neutral, ebrake up ,then hit the start button on remote, lights flash to confirm ,then take the keys out of ignition, exit car and hit the lock button)

It is a two way remote system though.

I've got one on my Civic.

You lucky Canadians!!! We don't get that option here in the US....

can we get some wire information for the remote starter part of the car alarms on our civics. Specifically the clutch pedal wire, brake pedal, etc.

I've been using Compustar remote starts for about 10 years now. Top notch products, versatile and easy to install.

Rev 2 8K correct me if im wrong but if we have 2 set of keys we dont require the bypass for the imobolizer because since these keys are used to turn on the car (chipped inside) once can be kept on the remote start and the other one you get to keep it . i mean thats my ideal if you have 2 keys that turn on the car you can use one cant you?
You haven't heard of Compustar? Then you really dont know too much about remote starters or car security. Compustar is one of the better high end setups.

yes i have it on my si, did it myself. i have the viper 5701 le and you need an immobilzer bypass for it to work. i paid about $260 for the alarm itself and $35 for the immobilizer bypass. just takes time to do quite a few wires if you want all the diff features it has to offer. there's a setting on there for you to set to automatic tranny or manual. i set mine on auto so that way no other steps are needed when i exit the car, just turn the car off and jumpout. i never leave my car in gear so i'm not worried and nobody drives it except me...
