It says select address book, then select user 1 or 2 then in the upper corner it should say new address except mine doesnt, in the upper right corner mine shows the category and when i push that it just lets me pick from the categories.... what am i doing wrong?

All you have to do is hit the center of the screen when you are at an address. That will allow you to add that specific location

I can do that, but i mean when im not at that place. For instance when you get a cell phone you dont normally wait til everyone you know calls you, you put their numbers in there. I thought this would work similiar to that, didnt think i had to go to the location to save it.

Yep, here are the changes:

Quote:
New Features

Loss of male voice prompts (voice prompts revert to female - regardless of previous setup setting)

Additional brand icons for restaurants, motels and other POIs

Updated maps and POIs

Auto Daylight Savings Time switching per new 2007 (March/November) schedule

I updated my 2007 Honda Civic EX navigation system to the new 2008 maps version 6.62A using a burned dual layer DVD. I got this through a private torrent site. I am not satisfied with the results and was wondering how can I go back to using the navigation DVD that was provided when I bought my car (Version 6.56A)? Thank you for your help.

I'm fairly certain you can't downgrade once you've installed the newest version. You could try it though. Simply put in your old DVD and see what happens.

I tried putting my old DVD back and it didn't work. I was dissatisfied because it was much slower and sometime would not read when I started my car. I got this also from a torrent site. Should I call my local honda dealer? Would they be able to downgrade it for me?

I don't think it'll work, and I really doubt they would even try. You used a pirated copy of their software. Honda may not like that. The best thing would be to call your local dealership and ask.

1. Put your old DVD in - wait until you get the old version message
2. Press the Map, Menu, and Cancel buttons at the same time to enter the diagnosis menu
3. Push the Version button
4. Push the Download button
It will then reload software from the DVD and you will have your old version back.
Let me know if you need more help.

I just got my hands on the newest DVD NAV version 7.72B for my 2006 Civic. It doesn't even list it on the alpine website, so I don't even know what features it has. Just curious if anyone knows?
