21. No posting of copyrighted or proprietary information without consent. This includes service manuals, software, music, etc...

So basically, the actual DVD can be sold for a fair price, but copies are forbidden. I'd hate to see someone get banned for something so simple.

The reason for these rules is to protect Webby and 8thCivic.com - 8th Generation Civics from any legal issues.

seems like Honda's offering the $149 DVD navi again for the 2010 Maps (v6.81A) at NAVTEQ - hondanavi.com/turq til June 30.

I saw that a couple of weeks ago... still not worth it. I'd consider it if were under 100.

Navteq's site is a little vague on the update. This is merely a map update and not a features update? Have their been any feature updates at any point in a release? Then what's the $185 price tag all about?

Doesn't look like anyone sells them to Canada on eBay though, so us CSXers are not eligible for that option :-(

I have a 06 Civic with Nav

Been stationed in Alaska once and it didnt work.

Going to be transferred to Hawaii and it wont work there either.

I was told I needed the 2010 Honda 4.81A White Navigation DVD.
However other sources have said it wont work in a Civic.
Others have said only coverage in 48 states.

Can anyone confirm which disc to get?

As per HondaNavi.com, only the Turquoise DVDs will work for your car. Direct link for your specific car: The Official Honda Map Update Site . That's the official answer anyways.

The Official Honda Map Update Site
I went ahead and sprung for the upgrade. This is the second time I've upgraded the DVD in my 06 Civic sedan. The first time went well. I didn't notice any significant changes in the maps themselves for the mapping software was also upgraded and that helped a lot. The second disk, which I installed last night, did well enough in the upgrade process but it did something that didn't happen the first time through. I totally wiped my address book. All the addresses I had saved in the system are gone. This did not happen the first time I upgraded and that upgrade was quite a bit more extensive. The second one took half the time to do but wiped everything. Needless to way, I'm not happy but there's nothing I can do about it now.

Anyone else have this happen?

On the plus side, from what I can tell, the maps themselves have been significantly updated in my area. We have had a LOT of new construction in our area in the last 10 years and it looks like many of those new subdivisions are there now but if I'd known is was going to wipe out my address lists, I'd have never gone for this!

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

How can they still be charging so much for these update dvds when so many smartphones are offering this service for essentially free now?
