Speaker recommendation? Civic EX Sedan

Hello, I am new to the forum!

I have a Civic EX Sedan with Navi. I just upgraded my door speakers to Infinity 6012i shallow mount. The high and mid sounds are much better, but not much bass...

So, I would now like to replace my rear speakers with a model with more punch to them.

I know a sub would be ideal, but I am trying to avoid that route.

So, what speaker models would you suggest in this situation?

Thanks

Are you powering the speakers off the headunit, or an external amp?

Power from the deck only, I suppose I should consider an external amp...

Definately. The quality off an amp is much better than that of the head unit. You should invest in some good front speakers and power them off the amp. Then use your current front speakers and put them in the rears. Or just keep them.

I have my rears powered off the h/u, and the fronts get 100 w rms each. I don't drive in the back seat, so I don't really care about having great sounds from back there. The fronts are plenty.

Lightbulb

A single four channel amp with 75-100 watts each channel with two channels powering the front doors, and the remaining two channels bridged (combined) to deliver 200-300 watts to a single 10" (or 12" if you'll sacrifice the room) works well...
