I went with the clarion...

As i sat in a four door civic with the oem bass kitt, i did not feel impressed at all. So, knowing that my choices of bass were limited, because i have to use my entire trunk space for work, and i did not want that thumping bass that every 17 year old has with a civic, i opted for a more convenient and classy option. I went with the clarion srv303. It is a unit that can be installed under the seat, which i liked alot. it is 64 wattrms, and 120 peak. I know that doesnt sound like a lot, but believe me after the install, it sounds perfect. the bass is crisp and fills the needed emptiness that the stock sound system provides. it has an option for line input as well as rca's. i have the line input right now, and i plan on using the rcs'a by using a loc from the rear speakers. i will test to see which gives me better sound quality. it does have a control which allows the driver to select which type of frequency and gain is appropriate for the sound as well. i installed this hidden out of view in the center armrest. the install was really simple once again, and i would recommend it to anyone that wants clean crisp bass with the sound of oem clarity without the big amps and boxes in the trunk. pics will soon follow.

In the armrest? Wow. And it sounds good? Impressive. You'll have to get a couple of shots of it in the car. I'd like to see this.

I'm sure it doesn't sound good by true sound quality standards but if it fits your needs then more power to ya

i have a 12" sub in the trunk, and when I keep it at a level which is comforting to my ears, you can't really hear it from outside the car. I personally couldn't stand the factory stereo since I wasn't used to to factory equipment. But, glad it's workin out for you. Pics would be cool as well.
