As some other comments, if you are used to a hi-end aftermarket unit/speakers/sub, it will fall short of that setup by quite a bit. However, compared to the average OEM setup it is quite good. Superior (IMHO) to the Acura RSX Bose setup.

I tested the system on a Si @ The dealer (Not mine).
I too, am an audiophile and found the system sufficient. Like many others, I use to extensively modify my systems. It sounded pretty good to me, especially for a stock system. I'll change out the paper speakers for something a little better that will run on stock power but that is it. |

I also enjoy the sound, it's loud enough and clear enough. I did dynamat the trunk and the license plate though. I may swap out the speakers, but there doesn't look to be a lot of room to do it, so I may just hold off. BTW I ordered this i-HONDA-R3 for my iPod. I got it for $15 cheaper elsewhere, looks like it may work better than the HOA stuff. I will keep everyone posted.

Just like everyone has mentioned. I have an Si with Navi, and I think it sounds great. In my old ride I had 4 10" subs with a 1000 watt amp (too much bass). I think this setup is almost perfect. It actually hurts my ears (but perhaps I already have ear damage)
I wouldn't change a thing about the stero in the Si.

Right now my 04 Civic EX has an Aiwa head unit that puts out 52x4 watts and I have an Infinity Basslink which is a 10 inch sub with 200 watt sub. That's 408 watts over seven speakers. I've been in an Si for maybe 45 minutes and the 350 watt system sounded good, but I think my sub hits harder. When I get my Si in the fall I think I may put the Basslink in. I'm a bit worried though about the balance if I have the Basslink to one side of the trunk while there's also the factory sub in the rear decklid. Well, my brother has a Basslink he's not using so maybe I'll buy that off him and use both. Three subs and 750 watts total would be nice.
I'm getting navi so the head unit is obviously staying stock but I might replace the other speakers eventually.Quote:

I think the si sound system is awsome...at least for a factory system, I have no intention of upgrading...well, maybe a sub down the road...
