AMPLIFIER HELP: Alpine vs. Kicker

I am trying to find a amp two push my two Alpine 2ohm DVC 12's. I am thinking either an Alpine MRD-M1005 or a Kicker ZX1000.1. I am wondering what the pro's & Con's of these two amps. I Already know what there specs. are, But I do not have first hand experiance with either brand of amplifer. I would like you opinion's.

I have a different model of Kicker amp and I quite like it... best $300 I ever spent on car audio stuff... apart from the 8" L5 sub to go along with it.

Both Alpine and Kicker amps are solid. If you have an Alpine HU with amp link, get the Alpine so you can see it's temperature, current, voltage, etc. Well that's why I am gonna run Alpine amps when I get aroudn to that area. Otherwise I'd be running old reliable Harman amps.

I have the D310 btw and it has a split screen feature for the amp link that displays all the conditions of up to 8 alpine amps.

I'd go with alpine for its reputation.

They are both solid companies with proven track records. Get the one that fulfills your needs at the price you're looking for. Having said that, neither of the amps look to be 1 ohm stable but I'm not sure how you are going to wire your subs. I'm assuming you're going parallel for a 1 ohm load, so...

Alpine all the way...
kicker is known for raw power and reliablility
alpine for quality, with that amp u'll still get more than whough power but ur signal will more than likely be cleaner...
i had that alpine amp pushing some subs once...i loved it.
went with alpine again for my new setup.
