I used the honda factory brackets, factory dash kit and metra wire harness, all worked great together.

Hmm... how did you get that trim piece to fit? I test fitted my Z1 with my dash kit from honda, and there is no way to make it fit

i moved the oem harness up and bolted the screen slightly upwards so i had clearance to put the trim piece on. It actually turned out better for cooling in this 110 degree heat.

Thats nice, on my wish list. Does anyone know of the stearing wheel controls will work? I had seen some adapters on crutchfield.

came with my AVIC-d1, the trim is part of the kit. You can also get it when you order the metra dash kit as well.

The one on crutchfeild does work, you have to mess with it, i think it the seventh blink to program the right reponce for the controls, took 55 minutes to get it right....

No it fits fine. It just doesn't always work the way it's supposed to. I'm on number 2...

Haha, i had the D1 and it stopped working on me a while back, which is why i got the Z1 instead with a replacement warranty. The D1 was sent out to get fixed if anybody is interested in purchasing it.

You ever have that 'Navi running backwards' issue? I have that a few times a month. Used to be once in a blue moon when it was really cold outside. My mp3 cd's also kept getting cut off. I'd have like 200+ songs and it'd only play to 50-60 before starting over from the beginning .
