erractic idle with tune
Ok so I need some help everyone. Im new to the tuning part of this and im tired of my SK2 tb doing this erractic idle. I know that it has something to do with my tune. The reason I know is bc I can this tune "Injen SRI, Vibrant RH+HFC, TSX TB, Vibrant Gen2 Exhaust, RDX Injectors" from flashpro tuning and the erractic idle is not there. But as soon as my car cracks vtec it falls on its face and doesnt pull at all here. But I can run the tune "Injen CAI, Vibrant RH w/ HFC, Vibrant Exhaust " and the erractic idle is there and its really bad, but the car pulls great. any help with this would be great. thank you
mods are sk2 tb sk2 im sk2 cai sk2 fuel rail Invidia header sk2 70mm mega power exhaust |

if the good idling tune falls on it's face in vtec you're probably really lean up there. Run that tune and datalog a pull. It's not hard to add WOT fuel with flashpro manager.
mind posting a datalog of either the tune with the silly idle doing it's thing, or the tune that goes flat in vtec? but I gotta say it again... you need a real tune. You've got a lot of mods that are letting more air into the engine, and it's harder to pick a safe basemap that fits your car the farther you get from stock. |

You're the exact opposite. You are SUPER SUPER lean when you go WOT, like dangerously lean, and when driving around your short term fuel trims are up in the high 40% range constantly, the ecu is working overtime to add loads more fuel to your tune.
Did you change your fuel injectors? The calibration posted above titled "run1.fpcal" is set up for larger 410cc RDX fuel injectors, if you are running stock injectors you need to readjust this. In flashpro manager load this calibration Click the "calibration" button click "fuel" change current injector size to 310 save the tune and re upload it to your car and make another pull. You should be MUCH better. |

Ok I will try that and yes I still have my stock injecter in it was just the that was near what I had for mods I was thinking that maybe it would just add a little more fuel. But I will try that thank you

Much better man. I'm not scared now
![]() You've got a lean spot at 4500 - 6000 rpm's under WOT, you can select that area in rows 9 and 10 of the high cam fuel table and add 5-10% to be safer. Besides that, you are safe to go till you get a tune now. The rest of the map in part throttle is a little lean, but it's nothing that short term trims can't handle for a while. |
