This has finally been announced!

Traction Control

I've been running this module on my high HP Si and I have had great results hooking from a dig with it. I will be track testing it even further at the track this Friday. Stay tuned for an FAQ on how I installed it on my Si soon (very OEM-ish, can't tell it doesn't belong).

I wish my car had enough power to lose traction but this sounds pretty cool.

It's not a software update, It's an extra module.

i had full bolt ons and f/p i would loose traction ... and it would yank the wheel really bad when i would shift to third.

i need this, my 1st gear is useless and 2nd is even more useless. when will this be available. 1st gear will be fun again

I have a question:

When you get FP, does it disable VSA? Or is this just a less intrusive system than VSA (people run with VSA off, and get wheels spin. Adding this system would help gain traction, but not be as intrusive as the factory VSA system).

Do I have that correct? Sorry for the question, but I don't have FP yet but I plan on getting it this summer. I don't want to lose the factory traction control though.

Wow, fantastic, this would be awesome for me as my '06 Si is "pre-VSA" . I will most likely have to drive my car in the snow, and traction control of any level would be advantageous.
