Timing = Ignition advance / retard
VTC = Cam phasing advance / retard - it is the i in iVTEC
VTEC = low cam / high cam crossover

The OP is talking about Ignition Timing, not VTC, not VTEC.

To actually answer your question, just randomly advancing the ignition timing will not make you power. You need to learn about how your engine works and how to properly tune a vehicle.

Read Hondata's help file for FlashPro Manager in its entirety. Watch the videos Hondata has put on Youtube about the K-series engine and tuning it. Visit FlashProTuning.com and read the Tuning Guides / watch the videos there.

There is a lot to learn to properly tune a car. Approaching it with ignorance is not wise, you should learn all that you can before you decide to start changing things in the tune.

If it's overwhelming and you're having a hard time digesting the info you find, pay E-Tunez to tune the car for you.
