FN2 K20Z4 - just got flashpro and need advice

I have an FN2 (UK Civic Type R) and have just purchased a flashpro. I want to use the Group N map for the meanwhile until I save up for a proper tune. I have heard that the Group N tune still runs rich (as little as 11.5 at full throttle) with the mods I have (HKS race induction and Miltek exhaust) and this can be fixed simply by changing the Air-fuel ratio at full, part and closed throttle to 12.8, 13.8 and 14.something. Does this sound correct and if so how do I go about doing this with the Flashpro? I realise this will not extract much more power by just changing the AF ratio but will run a little smoother and improve MPG. I have picked up this info through the forums and any help is much appreciated. thanks

Ok I think I have found the appropraite section of this guide - Tuning your vehicle, fuel tuning, tuning mass flow fuel. It seems very complicated tho, can anyone describe easily what I need to do?

If flashpro supports map tuning for your vehicle thats the first thing you should swith to. Then do a datalog in third gear from 2500 rpm all the way to redline.

Graph the datalog making sure it shows rpm, vtc, A/F, and knock.

Now lets say that graph shows your running rich on the 30 degree cam angle from 5000 to 8600 rpm. Go to your high speed fuel table for the 30 degree cam and remove fuel in collumns 8, 9, 10 from 5000 to 9000 rpm. Make small changes, keeping in mind to maintaing smooth curves.

Also pay close attention to if you have excesive knock. That also needs to be tuned. The graph will also tell you at what rpm and cam your knocking allowing you to remove ignition accordingly.

Please refer to the Hondata videos on how to tune flashpro which can be found in youtube.

It's not my responsability if you damage or not your engine. If you feel you dont understand the changes your making and cant tell what Im taking about then pay for the services of people such as magnesium to tune your car.

The AFM calibrations are your best bet on the FN2, there are issues with certain things not working properly on the car if you use the MAP calibrations. Not ideal for a DD.

Yea I am looking at tuning the AFM calibrations as some features of the car do not work with MAP. Do you know how I would go about this, Hondata doumentation isnt really helping me?

Talk to nunoctr. He's successfully tuned his fuel on AFM using Hondata's x/y advanced graphing. I'm not entirely -in the know- on that at this point.

Have a look in the FPM help file at the advanced graphs. You can use the XY graph to calibrate your maf sensor. I suggest using your stock intake if you are tuning with maf. It is possible to calibrate the sensor with other intakes but it is a bit more complicated and I have found that it can differ from day to day because of reversion pulses.
