Yeah those prices are nuts. I did I/H/E on my Fit for ~$1000. Whoever buys into that deal is getting really hosed.

Yaris and Aveo are crap... true econo boxes in every sense.

Although I don't like the Versa's styling all that much there is a good reason to get the Versa over the Fit or the Fit over the Versa. Versa lacks the "performance" that the Fit has as far as peppy-ness and handling, but it's a lot smoother ride, more "luxury" options for the interior and a nice CVT for even smoother rides.

The 2009 Fit is supposed to try to touch more into that Versa market though, so we'll see how it goes.

My wife has the '07 Fit Sport in SSM & we it. When I told her about the "new" Fit that will be coming out in the fall & showed her some pics she went berserk about the moonroof. I myself like the new "look" that it has especially the hatch with the black in the middle. Just need to figure out how to delete that wiper from the hatch window.

i drove a Versa yesterday (rental car my cousin had)... that was the crappiest car i've driven in a while... serious lack of power, mpg was meh, interior was ugly, handling was nasty (i felt like i was on a boat w/big ass waves)... they styling of course will always be personal preference...

Fit > all other small econo cars

I liken the Fit having market dominace in that catergory like the Civic used to have. When I bought my '98 EJ8 for about the same price as a current Fit Sport there was no other choice as far as i was concerned. Nothing came close as a total package like the Civic for the money for me & that's how I feel the Fit is now.

Hmm, I actually like the Yaris 3-door. Peppy little thing. But...tried and true Toyota, so it wasn't...as fun as I thought it would be.

Took the wife & kid for a trip recently to Punta Gorda & played with the seating arrangements. Reclined the passenger front seat flat & reclined both backseat sections. My wife got to lounge out for the ride there & back & our daughter was chillin' right next to her. She even got to lay down & curl up to take a nap going there & coming home.

From what I hear the car itself isn't all that bad, but the fit and finish on it is nothing to write home about...

Refreash mode is the greatest thing ever! My friend and I used it on a round trip, road trip from CT to Florida. Made the trip so much easier. I also use it whenever I need to waste time in my car, between classes or what not. The magic seats are such a great idea.

I love the fact that I can fold up the back seats to vacuum under them but the fornt seats are a PITA to clean under. I've resorted to just unbolting them to gain more access.

Yikes! I don't really like the new styling of the Fit. The front end definitely looks squished. I dunno, but I think the Yaris looks slightly better. 1st gen Vitz still looks best though.

I personally think the older fit has one of those timeless looks and styling.
Not to say the new one is lame though.

If Honda had the new fits interior in the old fits body I would get one in a heartbeat

Just FYI... NST will be releasing a lightweight crank pulley for the Fit in the very near future!

The first picture that Honda has on their webpage of the 09 Fit dead front center looks great and it kinda makes me think a USDM 06 Civic Hatch would have that front end. But other than that I'm liking the 1st gen Fit better; I WANT ONE NOW and I'll be keeping the FG too!

Do you mean slow? It's had a long model year compared to many Hondas. The Fit has been around since 2001.

The Fit/Jazz has been available for 7yrs in the EDM & JDM market. To see an update this soon in the US is not that surprising to me @ all. I'm actually amazed that Honda did not update it before they brought it to N. America. Honda has been typically updating models every 4 yrs.
