What is the difference between these two four-bangers? 13 hp? is the 190 hp version a K24 as well?

Just returned from 08 Accord ride and drive and here are the major improvements:

1. As we all know, improved VCM for all v6 models, improved because teh engine can now switch from 6 cylinder to 4 cylinder to 3 cylinder, 3 different modes.

2. Two different 4 cylinder engines and two different v6 engines
4 cylinder model: 2.4 L, IVTEC 177 HP and a 190 HP engine
6 Cylinder model: 3.5 L SOHC IVTEC 268 HP one with and without VCM; later engine for coupes.
you lost me here so the v6 has 2 engine types, one has 268hp and other what is it? or better yet specs between both of the v6?

im stronlgy considering one but im torn between a 4cy and a v6 cuz i know v6 is gonna wait a hella of gas.....

what evidence is there to suggest they will be making another V6 6MT? from what i remember there were very few made in the previous generation, and i doubt they were big sellers. ive only ever seen 1 on the road.

in fact the 1 i saw wasnt on the "road" at all, it was at the track.. but it was quite the sex machine. it was an older family guy, probably 40+. he was at the track with his wife and son.. and he had the coolest damn wife id ever met. she was letting him run a dry 80 shot of nitrous in the family car and was pulling mid 13's in 3 consecutive passes car was bone stock otherwise cept for some lightweight drive wheels. heres a pic. was definitely a sweet car. if they did end up making another manual version i wouldnt rule out the possiblity of maybe trading up my Si for one if i liked it

It appears that one of the V6 engines is just what you see, the other uses the VCM which, according to his post, shuts down any where from 2-3 cylinders when not in use to save gas.

Man Chris, I wish Honda Dealers here in Phoenix would have the same sales system. I went to about 5 different dealerships before I found a Si without a market adjustment, and it was still at MSRP.

I'm going to go to a few dealerships and look at what the 08's sticker for when they come out...I won't be surprised when I see the same market adjustments then as well.
