You can't know that it's HID unless you look at the writing on the headlight lens and see D2S. That's the only way to know for sure that it's equipped with HID... unless you saw them turned on.
You're right, in the manual it says they're halogen and there is no D2S anywhere.
(see my civic in the reflection? )

my guess is the base models will have regular halogens and the EX & ^ will have HIDs... i only say that b/c Honda is stepping their game up the where the Acura is... and it starts with the little things...

Something about the front end bugs me that I can't place my finger on.

I think its that the headlights look tiny compared to the rest of the front.

The rear looks too boxy and cut up with those lines that cut under the lights. The front from head on looks good but 3/4 view is weird. I had high hopes for this accord.

That car is going to have to grow on me. It's not giving me that crazy initial impression like the FG2 did. Right now the rear sort of resembles this:

The headlights looks good, not digging the chrome trim "trapazoid" grille tho.

Very ugly car for my taste, I expected something nicer. I hope the sedan is better looking. I wonder who was driving it, maybe the manager of some Honda dealer.

To critique this: HIDs will throw out more light, and thus be more usable. For me, that's the reason to get it.

HID lights are the best in the world; are at least 3 times brighter, whiter, wider, sharper and with a defined straight cuttoff; you can see up to 5 lanes and twice as far than the useless halogen lights.
Try to drive a car with hids and you will understand and change your mind.
Hopefully very soon all cars come stock with hid, they will be safer to drive at night.

front looks like a scion tc, back looks like a chrysler.
From the side it looks ugly as hell
Also, there will not be HID's.
not even the camry on toyota got HID's yet they cost the same as a tsx.
When the rsx came out, they didn't have HID's. The current accord doesn't have HID's, not even the reflector style hid's.
It looks ugly in every way

Actually, the Camry Solara (the Accord coupe's competition) DOES have projector HID.

I never knew the Solara was a camry. I guess i learn something new everyday. With that said, the Solara is another different game than the accord coupe or sedan will ever be. They come also come as "convertible"

Even people who may not like the styling of this new Accord have to admit it looks a LOT nicer and more aggressive than the Solara coupes.

ehhh they're both okay.
the solara has the edge though. Looks sportier and has a convertible option

I think the new styling on this Accord is MUCH better than the previous generation. The old generation was so bland and definately needed some reshaping. As far as my tastes go It satisfies it quite well. I am so over the bloated boat looking Camry.
