That looks like the Beamer interior. Damn why can't they be original. If I wanted a Beamer I'd put 40,000 on one.

I'm actually more surprised they're not doing the "two-tiered" dash on the Accord, like the Civic has. I wonder if they got too many polarized opinions as to whether or not consumers liked it.

I would assume this is the issue. The Accord is too vital of a model not to appeal to the broad audience. I just don't think, based on feedback on the civics, that Honda wanted to carry that controversial piece over. I like it.

Makes sense, but I think Civics sell more overall than the Accords? So they weren't afraid of applying the controversial piece to a higher-volume vehicle?

Of course the Accord has more accolades than the Civic... Wouldn't want to miss a year of getting on C&D's 10 Best or something.

When it comes to numbers....there is NO WAY Civcs sell more than Accords.

For every one Civic Sold....three Accords were just Delivered!

The Accord is Honda's bread and butter.

Not a chance in hell they'd risk anything on a polarizing design, interior or exterior.

I hate that steering wheel, however. It's an okay interior, but it reminds me of a Mazda (that center stack). Nothing fancy, but that's what Honda seems to do with the Accords, make them the least offensive and plain as possible.

Keep in mind that we are looking at the interior of one of the BASE - type models though.

We have no idea what the Higher end models will look like.....and has anyone figured out what the HECK the center console screen thingy could be????

Cause it deffinately doesn't look like a Nav unit.

Looks good. The center console looks similar to the current gen, but that area above for the nav screen looks good.

From a styling standpoint, why put $40,000 on it when you can get this one for $20,000?

honda probably went with the more traditional instruments because the accord is probably aimed at older people, who aren't as willing to adapt to digital instruments as we are.

(unless you are like me and learned with a digital speedometer, so no adapting was required )

that new accord interior doesn't look to bad, but we probably would all get use to it.

Kid...I hate to tell you this...but, other than the fact that one is digital, and the other is analog, there is entirely ZERO "difference" between the two. They both display forward-motion (and occasionally, reverse-motion) as a numerical value, represented in mile-per-hour (or kilometer, for our friends to the North) incriments. "65" is "65". Wether the numbers are pink, green, or on a friggin' plate. As well, many of the vehilces that initially were equipped with digital readouts, were marketed towards "old people". Read: Buick, Cadillac, etc. ~CLASS DISMISSED~

Now...back to the bland Accord's interior...*COUGH* Yeah...the steering wheel looks like it's from the current Mitsubishi parts-bin (def. not "a good thing" ) and the interior is BMW, all the way...only without the class.
