Will it be backwards compatible for 2006-2007 models? I sure hope so! This is good news as far as I'm concerned.

We started refusing to sell it last year....because of just that reason..........

It was like trying to put a square peg in a round hole..........

I heard about this when I was at the dealership last week, and was going to post it, however, I wasn't real sure how credible all salesmen are.

This is a good thing. Except for all of you who bought it.

I wanted it for my iPod, but I heard it was a piece of crap. Hopeflly their next one doesn't suck.

That's great to hear, hopefully we'll get one that works as well as the one for the SCION. One problem, where does that leave people like us that bought this piece of crap? Do we get a break or something????

About freaking time. The stock system has a lot of potential if it were done right. But the MusicLink was terrible.

Go get your money back......

Our parts department is giving refunds to anyone who bought one up to 6 months before we started not selling them.

And on that same note....

For all of my cars I just replaced the factory deck with an aftermarket one that had a Hard Wired AUX jack just like in the SI....but it the sound quality is even better.

Im not sure what the exact model number is but I will get that and post it.....I can plug my XM INNO as well as the IPOD and whatever the heck else I want into it and it sounds great!

I wonder if the music link will work with iPhones when used as a music player.

My guess is Apple will make backward compatible.

I gotta say, having the connector and music going through the iPhone, and then you get a call and it lowers the volume by itself, that would be cool.

If only the 8th gens had Bluetooth.

What's wrong with the MusicLink? Does it have anything to do with having the Navi? I don't have tha but I have that aux link to use with my ipod. I bought my LX 2 months ago, is there anything I should know about the MusicLink?

It's mainly just an issue of functionality.

Quality wise, its just really not worth it, from what a lot of people think.

Doesn't matter if you have navi or don't have navi, it's just a shoddy product.

GEH! freakin hell.

I purchased my Si the DAY it was discontinued with the Music Link and dealer didnt bother letting me know. I've gotten used to it, but it has quite a weak interface. Here's to hoping I can pick up the new one later on and put it in my 07...

I replaced mine H/U with an aftermarket Alpine one that has direct connect ipod control, it even goes into the glovebox like the Musiclink! I Love It!! My H/U also has Bluetooth, and Satalite radio capabilities. It ended up being about $320 installed, totally worth it.

I dont know why everyone whines about the music link, I have one and unless your a total dope its straight forward. I have 4000+ songs on my ipod and have no problems. Im not going to say its the best, but it sure beats the hell out of the crappy aux jack and the interface is easy to use
