Cut the runners off the stock header and create the turbo manifold from there? This sucks if they have it casted like that. I was gonna DD one with basic bolt ons..

if you wanna boost swap the head, i feel a revision for the 9th gen civics very soon, and everything will be fixed, but my 8th is just too fun reving to 8,500 rpm.

Not that there's anything wrong with the Accord coupe, but the 8th gen. looks more sporty..slipperier..fluid, in it's styling.
This is just my initial reaction of the car. We'll see how it handles once it's for sale, maybe the styling will grow on us.
The Accord coupe is okay, but the Civic coupe is disproportionate and the sedan looks like a shrunken last gen Camry, only not as good.

Although I like the new Si... it's kinda boring.
Suddenly, looking at what the competition offers is compelling.

What Honda needs to do for the next civic is to drop the s2000 engine even thor they discountinue the s2000 might as well drop that engine in the si to push 240 horsepower not this 200 hp bs again that they launch for the 2012 civic si. Anybody agree with me?

Seems cost cutting is the choice behind the tsx engine. I'd much rather see a version of the k20a, especially the mugen rr version with 260 hp. The si has always been about high revving small displacement. The ep3 failed when it strayed from that formula, I believe the 9th gen will be a disappointment as well.

Wait, it doesn't have exhaust-cam vtec? So its just like a bigger ep3 engine???? Who would trade their 8thgen for this instead of just swapping in a 2.4 shortblock and getting the torque AND extra power AND keep a 8000 rpm redline.

That wouldn't be such a bad thing if there was a V-8 under the hood.

thats not entirely true, I used to have an 02 rsx base model(K20A3) with aem v2 intake, greddy evo II exhaust, eibach pro-kit, and the hondata reflash, plus shifter cable bushings. the only thing ive done to my 09 Si thus far performance wise is the ingalls power stick, all I can say is that my rsx would have smoked my Si as it sits, and even after the reflash I could only shift at 7500. low revs arent always a bad thing when you have a more linear power curve imo.

*EDIT* im still not going to trade in for a '12 Si though lol

I hate to break your heart but you rsx would have got raped by your si all you felt was the nosie of your mods lol. Come on man even with the reflash a base runs low 15's and traps like 90 mph its not that exagerated lol, but yeah the lower redline is not a big deal because vtec kicks in sooner so you essentially have it for the same amount of time and witht the extra torque the car will be faster plain and simple, the only thing I really dont like is the exhaust manifold but I am sure there will be an after market fix lol.
