Anyone else notice the line in the dyno test comparison article about SI's DBW throttle: "...the Civic Si's drive-by-wire throttle is so slow to respond that you can literally press the throttle to the floor and release it without any response."

Damn the DBW...

I think that's more pre-production bug than nything of concern. I had this discussion with someone else earlier.

? ... have you not read all the threads here about Rev Hang problems, hesitation during shifts, throttle lagging, the reflash from Honda for the 06s that doesn't completely resolve the problem....

All courtesy of Honda's obsession with DBW to lower emission.

I hear the problem is still there on 07s: 07Si...with pic goodness!

It's not quite that bad, Moisted. I notice it, but I find that just shifting either slowly to let the RPMs fall, or quickly so the gears make the RPM drop does fine. I do notice the RPM hang ONLY when gassing. When I have my foot off the gas and press in the clutch to downshift when exiting a freeway, the revs drop nearly instantaneously.

I really tried to get into the MS3, but in that dark gray color with the played out clear taillights, I really disliked it (incidentally the dark gray color will probably be my color of choice on the Si if I don't sway the other way).
It's only played out on repeated bodystyles. The SI didn't come with it. I think the SI and the RSX-s would both have looked amazing in silverstone.

THe MS3 just makes me think of Former Tuner Kiddie Hurder.

Yeah.

It doesn't sound as thrilling as, say, Civic Si's engine.

The Si engine is a jewel.
