Damn, that stinks. If you buy a Civic at your dealer, find out when they took delivery of it. If they got it before Aug. 1 and they try to snake the extra $45 out of you, make sure you call them out on it.

OMFG I paid $1,225 for freight and PDI for this Canadian made Civic to be delivered to Canada. Absolutely no reason for americans to whine about their price.

I don't think I've heard anyone whine about the price yet, just the increase. Are you to tell me that Canadians would be alright if their freight and PDI was raised to $1270? I don't know anyone who is excited about an increase in price for the same product/service.

No whining here, bud. A $45 increase isn't bad at all. But any increase on any price inherently stinks.

And I agree that CAD$1,225 (USD$1,088) is a riduculous amount of money to pay for shipping within Canada for a Canadian-made product. That's like paying for two destination charges.

$29,000 CSD = $25,737.75 USD @ a rate of 1 CAD = 0.887509 USD That is ridiculous and unfair.
