Megapower is better quality, and IIRC one of the runners on the Alpha is a little different

I just got the s2 alpha header, and had no problems at all with it.

I thought you basically had to do that on every header that deletes the cat?

I think that the Skunk2, Go-Power custom (if spec'd appropriately) and the Hytech are the only ones that require that. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well......the question lies in the longevity of the alpha header, which nobody really knows for sure yet. Because the Megapower is a quality piece, with the exception of one person on here. His cracked.

it will be quieter at lower rpm with the header so they may actually like you, you will probably want to get a rear motor mount to make sure the header doesn't knock anything when the motor moves as well, s2 recommends doing that or injecting the front mount

The only gains I will be able to give are those from my butt dyno, I will be pairing it with the Full Race so I am hoping that it really wakes up the motor.

I was really disappointed with the install of the alpha header. One of the bolt holes wasnt larger enough, or just alittle off center so I had to bore/open the hole alittle. Which isn't really a big deal, but I guess that's what u get for paying a cheap price for a good header(good design).

Did the install today with alpha headereverything went ehh , ended up with exhaust leak where the adapter flange from header meets exhaust system , loosened it up put on some exhaust leak silicone tightened it all up and siliconed the outside of the connection everything is gtg now , my o2 sensor didn't reach the first bung hole so I used the defouler as an extension I drilled out the little hole with max bit I had started with half inch hole and made it almost as big as the defouler itself as max as I could go , worked out perfect with a little slack even on the wiring for the o2 sensor , second o2 is disabled with hondata
No need for o2 extension harness

I also had issues with the install of the alpha header. The farthest most bolt hole that attaches to the head 9
on the drivers side wasn't big enough so I had to drill it out alittle.

Prob a bad idea to have anything interfearing with the primary o2 sensor...

Your headers don't determine the sound/loudness, your exhaust does! If you want your neighbors to like you then you just need to get rid of your 76mm exhaust.

What you did with the primary O2, where you thought you were being clever? Yeah, take it out of that defouler. Do not interfere with the primary O2's reading at all, it needs to be directly in the exhaust stream.
