1. Name of header: Skunk2 Race Header (first gen, with only 1 O2 bung.)
2. Price you paid: $757.14 US. Got it from Exclerate Performance 3. Impressions you have-installation, driving and sound: Install was great. It fits really nicely and the quality of the Header is very impressive for a mass produced item. It doesn't hit anywhere even though its a tight fit. (Side note, I have Boomba Engine mounts.) I haven't put it on the dyno but it definitively improved the power in the mid-range and very top end. To give you an Idea, I remember when it was stock, it would struggle to get up to the rev-limiter in 5th and when I would hit it, it would bounce back down to 212km/h and take everything to get back up. Now, it really has that extra power and guts. I can keep it bouncing on the rev-limiter (not that I do it) and I wont lose speed. The sound, well, it sounds like a race car. Or a superbike or an F1. 4. Any threads you have made: Nope. 5. Any videos you have: Nope 6. Any dyno graphs you have: Nope If you have any questions, don't be shy. List of mods that can have something to do with the previous: AEM CAI, Skunk2 Header, Skunk2 70mm. I also have boomba engine mounts which is supposed to eliminate header "hitting" Last edited by gtracer; 08-20-2009 at 01:13 AM. |

1. Name of header - Six Sigma Racing 4-1 Race Header
2. Price you paid - $706.88 (Don't ask)3. Impressions you have-installation, driving and sound - Danny (the guy who made my header) installed it for me. The installation seems complicated; had to lower the sub frame. I later found out, an easier way to install the header without lowering the sub frame. Also, the Primary O2 Sensor needs to be extended because the header doesn't come together until towards the end. I didn't really felt any gains, maybe because I was already used to how it feels like having a Race Header on the car. Another reason is probably because it's a 4-1 Race Header built for 9K+ RPM. As for sound, it's louder than the Buddy Club Race Header that I had on the car before, both at idle and driving. It is also the BEST sounding Race Header I've heard to date. It has a deep & aggressive sound. 4. Any threads you have made - Yes, but it got deleted 5. Any videos you have - Yes, SSR RH + Skunk2 70mm fly by. I will try to make one today with just the Race Header only ![]() 6. Any dyno graphs you have - Yes, a comparison of stock exhaust (Blue) vs open header (Red).

^^ SSR makes both 4-1 & 4-2-1 Headers. The guy can make a custom Race Header for your setup. I ordered the 4-1 Race Header because I have plans in the future to have a built motor that revs to 9K+ rpm.
btw, you didn't have to quote the whole post. Last edited by Bboy_Burst; 08-20-2009 at 05:02 PM. |

^^ yea, SSR makes both style header. the KiddRacing Header is identical to the SSR and as i've state in previous post, they will probably performs the same if you have a near stock engine. if someone is on a budget, KiddRacing is probably the way to go. if you have plans for a built motor, SSR is the better deal.
