Loud exhaust law in Columbus, GA?

I moved up here from FL where some cities have laws against loud exhausts. Does anyone know if Columbus (or Georgia as a whole) has a law like this?

I don't think I'll go skunk 2, but I am itching for a sportier sound. I thought at first I'd just keep it stock, but most of the sound comes from the intake, not the exhaust. I'd rather have the exhaust be at least as loud as the intake, but still stay away from too much unwanted attention.

Slipp, thanks for the tip. I didn't find it on the DMV (called MVD in GA), but some some Googling did the trick. I wonder what they mean my excessive or unusual. IMO, an RX8 produces and unusual noise right of the showroom floor.

Georgia Code - Motor Vehicles & Traffic - Title 40, Section 40-8-71

(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale any muffler which causes excessive or unusual noise or annoying smoke or any muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device for use on a motor vehicle or for any person to use, to sell, or to offer for sale any motor vehicle equipped with any such muffler, muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device. Any person violating this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

I think I'll go with the Tanabe Medalion. Not really to be on the safe side, but because I leave the house early and want to be considerate to my neighbors. Aren't I nice?

I had fire balls between shifts and my setup was LAF!!! No problems with cops other then attention if you are doing something illegal--- Speeding, Loss of traction etc...you will get noticed and pulled over.
