is the acura csx better than civic

ive never test drivien the csx acura. its the same car as the civic sedan, so my question is. is the csx made diferent in terms of better sound deadening than the regular civic? or is the cabin noise level the same. i know ive drivien in the 2004 acura tsx and the noise level that comes through that car is no better than a accord.

Acura is the luxury version of Honda... Same company makes both cars, but Acuras usually have newer technology.

they both should be almost identical, but since the CSX is a more luxurious one, it shouldn't make as much cabin noise as the Civic and a smoother ride ( not 100% ). and the car should sound the same since they both share the same motor.

yeah, I really like it... I'm thinking of getting one for my car, but I've heard horror stories of Carbon Fiber. My hood sucks. Honda Fed it up and won't fix it.

oh? well, i drove a Civic Hybrid actually. on my avatar is just a picture of a JDM FD2 type R.

well, a nice carbon hood should only cost around $500. try looking around on procivic or other sponser here on the site.

Hmm, Acura is Honda.
The Csx is the body style of the JDM CIVIC, made in Canada in the same plant as the Civic. (Alliston, ON, just 30-40mins away from me)

The CSX from Acura is the Luxury version of the Civic. The CSX was introduced in Canada when we had no Si Sedan, and released under the Acura name. It's literally a JDM si sedan. (that's my view)

The CSX type S and Civic Si are made at the same plant in Canada. Basically the same car except the Acura is more upscale (HID's, HVAC w/ "mode", leather).
The gages are almost identical, but instead of "Si" in the middle of the tach it says "Type S."

I'm actually going to the Alliston plant again tomorrow for work.

yes, honda = acura. acura is the luxury version of honda. in japan, the name "acura" does not exist, as everything there is honda (ie honda integra, honda nsx, etc.)

also, the csx is basically a civic with specialty mods (ie the headlights, leather, etc. etc.).

My wife has a CSX and I had a Civic. There is definitely more sound dampering in the CSX. Other than that and the other little touches mentioned above (leather, digital climate control, HID's), it's still a Civic.

It does feel much better put together though when you drive it.

Actually, the CSX has a k20z2 motor and the civic has a R18 motor which are different and look different
